Wzzard allows monitoring in remote and demanding locations at a much more reasonable price point per node than forerunner wireless technologies such as WirelessHART, WiFi, and Proprietary RF. Advanced power-saving features and low power consumption caters to networks deployed across difficult to reach and often power-less locations Data filtering and aggregation in the gateway reduces the cost of data transfer and storage to centralized data systems .
The Wzzard Intelligent Edge Nodes accommodate virtually any industry-standard external sensors. The Nodes can collect data from up to 3 external sensors from a wide variety of interface options, including general purpose analog inputs, digital inputs/outputs and thermocouples. Nodes can also contain internal sensors like an accelerometer and temperature and can integrate other application specific sensors upon request. Wzzard Intelligent Edge Nodes are available in both industrial and commercial form factors. Sensor connections are made via conduit fitting, cable gland, terminal block or an M12 connector. Nodes are available with an integrated or longer range external antenna, allowing for connectivity distance of up to 500 meters outdoors and 200 meters indoors.
The SmartSwarm 341 IIoT gateway enables owners, operators, and integrators of remote assets to integrate data from the asset into IIoT applications such as dashboarding, analytics or predictive maintenance.
Data can be collected from a number of sources, including web feeds, databases and files, as well as from locally connected physical devices and sensors. SmartSwarm 341 also includes an interface and manager for B+Bs Wzzard wireless sensor platform providing robust acquisition and transmission of asset sensor data without the expense or time involved in installing cables. For bulk I/O requirements where cabling is not an issue, it is also compatible with WISE and ADAM Ethernet connected I/O modules
